Macy's Bridal Salon by Demetrios-Smith Haven Mall

Has anyone else ever heard of getting your bridal party dresses 4 weeks prior to the event? Im having such a headache over this with Smith Haven Macy's Bridal Salon. We paid for these dresses last year and were told the dresses would be in April (which I admit was early for an October wedding), then it was May, then it was 8weeks prior to the wedding and now they say 4 weeks.

My sales girl is no longer there. I just feel like they are not doing a damn thing to make me happy. I get brushed off like 'we understand your frustration'. How about understanding and doing something to make me happy? I have two dresses, one I purchased thru them and my alterations are $600., nevermind the second dress. I asked the new sales girl to have the regional manager call me, and tomorrow it will be a week that NOT EVEN THE STORE MANAGER has called me. SERIOUSLY?

Sorry...venting and making all you brides out there aware of this. LIE about your wedding date so you dont go thru this. My maid of honor is a hairdresser and will be crazy the month of the wedding coloring and highlighting about 12 people's hair in my family and bridal party! How is she supposed to fit a bachelorette party, bridal shower, fittings, work, and a being a single mom into this picture??

Ugh! What a miserable experience. I went there to try on dresses and had such a horrible time dealing with the people that work there and their terrible attitudes that I refused to give them my business and found another dress elsewhere. I'd say call and try to get the regional manager's number to contact them directly. Or call another Macy's (Manhasset has a demetrios salon as well) and see if they can give it to you. Be persistent....there's no reason why you should have to wait until 4 weeks before the wedding for your dresses! Good luck and hope it gets less stressful!

Well my updates..I have been in contact with the regional manager. A sales girl sent her an email to inform her I wanted to speak to her. It's now 5 weeks away and no dresses. Im livid. They say dont worry they will have them and they will be done. That's not the point! The point is that we all have to rush around like mad woman to make sure they are done. The stress of the last month of a wedding is enough without adding in the dress situation. Im not a bridezilla but this is ridiculous.
Everytime someone says they will call e back, no one ever does. It's Thursday and I was expecting a call Monday. I dont care if you have no answers for me, just be in contact. If the manufacturer changes their policy, that is not my problem. I purchased the dresses and signed an agreement with you, not the manufacturer. I have clients that I build retail stores for and I know I have to jump thru hoops to make them happy, regardless of what the Building Dept, Suppliers and Vendors all say. I signed the agreement, not them.
