Macy's and BBB return policies???

Does anyone know Macy's and BBB's return policies if you are registered there? I am really mad, because I returned something at Macy's the other day and got $44 dollars for it. I just checked my registry and the original price is $90 and the sale price is $60. I told them it was from my registry, but I didn't bring a receipt with me (of course I had one at home but didn't think I needed it ). What is the deal? It's too late now, because I threw out the return receipt and used the store credit, but I just had my shower, and I plan on returning more duplicates.

not sure about Macy's
but BBB has always been really good with me when it comes to returns.
I am pretty sure that as long as you have your registry it acts as a receipt and i know you can get cash back as opposed to only store credit.

My registry is at Macy's at when I had a duplicate item, I printed the registry and gave it to cashier and they scanned it and did the return. I'm pretty sure I got the price that was paid. Maybe they processed it as a regular return without a receipt, in which case they give you lowest selling price. Either way, you get a gift card if you don't have an original receipt.

What's odd is that I returned a crock pot last week & the sale price that day was $40.00 - but I had the gift receipt & we were given back $65.00 - Dave thought maybe it was because it was bought in NY - so there was NY tax and pricing....

If you have a gift receipt you get back what that person paid for it.

Yes, this goes for all stores. The whole purpose of a gift receipt is to get what the person paid. So when you're doing your holiday shopping, make sure you get them!
