Has anyone ever put a deposit at Macys Smith Haven and then gotten a better price elsewhere? Did you try to get them to match the price? Any ideas on how to handle this? My daughter found a dress she loved at the trunk show and then another shop gave her a better price on the dress.

I think I remember seeing a thread earlier today that said Macys will match the price but you have to pay for the whole thing then.

I was the one who posted about the price match.
Since you already put a deposit down, I'm not sure if you'll be out of luck.
I got another shop to give me a dress for $50 less than Macy's. I called Macy's and they agreed to price match but said I'd have to pay for the entire dress up front. I've heard that's a horrible idea, and I didn't want to do it, so I'm not going to use Macy's.

My mother put a deposit down on a dress at the Macy's in smithhaven mall for me. I ended up 1) calling around and finding the dress for approx. $600 cheaper. 2) I fell in love with a different dress. Anyway, I wrote a letter and my mother's credit card was credited. Good Luck!!
