Does anybody have any feed back on purchasing and working with....Macy's or private stores? What is the better pick. Considering customer service, alterations, and price... etc

I got my dress Macys in Manhasset. So far so good. They were very nice and helpful. Betty listened and only gave me dresses that look great on me. I am getting married in off season (Feb) so she put me down as a December bride so there will be no delays. I also went to Lillettes and Helens Bridal. Both places the people were great. I ended up with Macys b/c it was the trunk show and I fell in love with a dress that is new by dimetrios. The only thing about Macys is there is no cap on alterations so I might not have it done there depending on price. Private dress shops have caps. Lillettes had a nice selection and so did Macys. Helens not so much on wedding dress but a lot on BM dresses. That’s where I am getting BM dresses.

I agree I had horrible CS as well. If I was you, I would go to a real bridal store, like Davids bridal by the Roosevelt Field Mall.
I got my dress at Kleinfelds sample sale and their CS was outstanding!

Personally, I think you would get better customer service at a private store. I looked at Macy's in Manhasset and I was not impressed at all.

i really wasnt impressed with macys selection or customer service
fantasia bridal..... sweet as can be bridal suite in bay shore, walked in and was able to try on dresses, very knowledgeable there
