I really wished we had registered at BBB....but Danielle figured this would be best especially with people that are going to buy stuff from out of state that didnt have access to the internet...My mother agreed with her. I just know we are going to have problems with Macy's...I can just see all the double gifts that we are going to get....

Re: Macy's Registering nightmare
Don't worry so much about Macy's...I think it is a matter of chance no matter what store you choose. I registered at Macys because I can't stand Fortunoff's (many people I know have had problems with them and their registries) and for similar reasons to you described with it being more convenient to more people. I had a fine experience with them. I didn't get one duplicate gift. Some gifts disappeared (I never updated my address when I moved so they went to old address) and Macy's promptly figured out what happened and had the gifts resent to the new location. I registered at the one in Manhasset - since DH and I did everything on weekends we found that one to be the least crowded and the most helpful. We did most everything at that store and then online. Also, after the wedding, we got a discount on the remaining items and they even gave us a discount on items from housewares we were buying that we didn't register for. We were very pleased with that.
Hope you have a better experience with them!

Re: Macy's Registering nightmare
Well I have to say that Macys is offering us a bunch of discounts and coupons...Which is good.
I dont have to worry about the gifts going to my old address, since we are going to live in my current apartment and that is where I put on the registry that I want our gifts shipped.
