Macy's Registry

Macy's Registry

Has anyone registered there?

What has been your experience with them?

Do you have a Macy's card and are you earning cash back from your registry?

What is your favorite item that you registered for from Macy's and you can't wait to get it?

1. Yes, we registered there.

2. experience is ok. they give you a free bridal mag subscription and a tote, and the rewards program is great, but i hate that their prices are constantly fluctuating and im not entirely sure how their return policy works. also, our bedding is online but i dont think it is in stores so that makes things complicated.

3. Yes have a Macy's card, don't really use it but I get the registry rewards. I believe you also get 10% off anything you buy at Macys until your event, and you earn a % back of all amts purchased. they (through wedding channel) will also donate to a charity of your choice.

4. fav item from there? tough call, possibly our bedding? there is a lot of overlap bw macys and bbb -- the only pieces we have at macys are the ones bbb doesnt carry

We registered at Macy's in the Smith haven mall. The experience was easy - we went on a weekeday and the place was empty. We opened a Macy's charge account that day in order to earn the rewards. Favorite item...our china !!! I love the pattern. Kilbarry by waterford. Very simple. White with a platinum band.

Re: Macy's Registry

I registered at Macy's, and my experience was good. We went to the one in Roosevelt Field. The first girl who helped us was nice and explained the whole program to us, but she didn't take us around the store and show us stuff (which I didn't mind, but my mom and FMIL did). It was sooooo hot inside the day we registered, so I really had no energy to do a lot of registering at all. I felt like I was going to pass out!!! But I figure that's just the dept store or mall's fault for not putting on the AC, not really anything to do with the customer service or the registry program.

When we were checking out, the lady we dealt with then was so much more helpful than the first person. She just explained things in more detail and even convinced us to add more to our registry. We ended up registering for our everyday dishes - which I'm most excited about and hope to get.

I didn't register for as much at Macy's because I went to BBB the week before and put a ton of things on that. I feel like BBB has better prices, and they're always sending a 20% coupon in the mail. But Macy's was good for the other things that BBB didn't have. We also registered for sheets at Macy's.

My FH already has a Macy's card so we were all set with that for the whole bonus thing.

I'm thinking of either adding stuff online to my Macy's registry or going back by myself during the week to add some more things on quickly. I do recommend using them for the registry.

I registered at Walt Whitman also...

Margaret in that department is GREAT! Can't say enough good things about her, not only day of, but I've called her a million times and she's been nothing but incredibly patient! Patience of a saint I tell ya!

My favorite item is my everyday dishes (platter pic)

So I went to Macy's last night at Roosevelt Field. It was totally empty, which was great. The women there were so helpful. We took our time and really thought about what we wanted.
I love the fine china set, we picked out..Waterford's Ballet Ribbon....LOVE IT! That is my most favorite thing, and then the bedding by Hotel Collection.
