Do I need to make an appointment to register for the first time or do we just go?????? How long should I expect to spend there? FH is not looking forward to this part of wedding planning

Re: Macy's registry
you don't need an appointment but expect to spend HOURS... so painful.... ugh
and also expect for everything on your registry to go out of stock and make you want to shoot yourself

Re: Macy's registry
Thank you! I waited a while to register for that reason. I didn't want to register months ago only to have stuff discontinued. I'm hoping it doesn't happen in the next 6 or 7 months. It must be very frustrating!

Re: Macy's registry
I did everything online!!!
Minus the couple things I would want to see in persone. I'm a huge researcher anyway so I would need to research reviews on products before putting it on our registry. :)
SO much easier. No pressure!

Re: Macy's registry
Why are things being discounted a bad thing? Won't it be better for the people buying it?
But yes I agree that you should go when Macy's is having one of their 'sip & scan' events. They give you appetizers and liquor which make it much easier to persuade FH to go along.
