Has anyone else had any problems with Macys? FH and I created our registry online about a month ago. I am using it to supplement some items that BBB doesn't have (or has a small selection of). For whatever reason, most of the items I wanted to add online either didn't have the 'add to registry' button, or when I tried to add the item I got 'cannot add at this time, try again later' and I continued to try for a week. I emailed customer service and they said to call and add the items that way. I thought it would be a pain to sit on the phone trying to add all these items, so 3 weeks ago FH and I went into the store on a Saturday afternoon. After standing at the registry desk for 15 minutes without being helped I went over to the register and asked if someone could help us. I was told the registry woman wasn't in and that basically I was out of luck. So I couldn't add items online OR in the store now. So again I emailed customer service. I got several emails and phone calls in response and finally got a womans email address who would add the items for me, if I just emailed them to her. So I did that. In the meantime the women from the Macys by me called me and told me to come in. I told her FH and I needed to come on a weekend and she told me she would be there this weekend. FH and I went today, just to pick up the cards to put in the shower invites, and guess what, she wasn't there. Again the women at the register basically told me I am out of luck. I am getting pretty frustrated!

I'm sorry, I've had a great experience with them. The Macy's by me in syracuse has great service. There was only one item that I couldn't add online so I just called.

The one in Bay Shore, since it is like 5 minutes from our apt. Fh keeps saying we should try a different location.

Re: Macys registry vent
I had such issues with the site yesterday - I ket trying to add things over and over and it wasn't doing anything!
Plus there's a set of everyday china I saw online and lovedddd but they only have a bowl and a mug from the set online. I thought maybe it was being discontinued, but I went to the Macy's in Roosevelt Field yesterday and there was a huge display of it!!

Re: Macys registry vent
I haven't had any issues with registering however in the past 3 weeks I have received showers gifts from 6 people! ALL unintentional!!! If you buy gifts online it is hard to tell where they are shipping from so a lot of people had stuff sent to my house by accident.

I'm sorry. I had a really bad experience at the Macy's in Herald Square so I emailed Macy's. I had people calling me left and right to apologize and invite us back in. In the meantime, I had already gone to Macy's at Roosevelt Field and had a WONDERFUL sales associate help me there. Honestly? If you're having a bad experience, go to Bloomies. We registered there yesterday and they were really helpful and had beautiful items!

Re: Macys registry vent
I had and still have an excellent experience with Macy's Bridal Registry in Roosevelt Field. They were patient, attentive, and totally easy to work with. I added and deleted items from my registry, online and in the store, up until right before my wedding.

Re: Macys registry vent
Overall, i haven't been thrilled with either of my registries and the ongoing headaches! Products are always going unavailable, and i hate hate hate how much they charge for shipping on all the stuff that they don't carry in the store!
