Was looking at some of her dresses online. Does anyone know if the corset back is optional or do you have to get it? Just curious!

Re: Maggie Sottero ...
I think if it's on the dress, you have to have it. But I don't think all of them are corsets. However, I could be wrong. It would probably be best to call a store or Maggie Sottero directly to ask.

Yeah, I don't think it's optional. Some dresses have them and some don't.

I didn't like the corset back, so I was so happy that the Maggie dress I loved had buttons down the back. If you don't want corset, there are some Maggie's that don't have them, you just have to look a little harder.

Not sure, but I'd ask at the place you're purchasing the dress from...maybe the seamstress will change the back? I don't think Maggie will alter the back.

I think some dresses come both ways. If you have a particular dress in mind just call and ask.

just an fyi...I was told that its $175 to put IN a corset. not sure how much it is to take one out, but I think it should be comparable.

Re: Maggie Sottero ...
Usually it's pretty expensive to start altering a dress in that way. I know that Watters gowns are very similarly styled and priced to Maggies and don't have as many corsets. Just something to consider.
I always say it's better to get the dress you really want than to have to alter it to make it look like something you are imagining. That's a gamble!
