Maggie Sottero Brides

My gown is 'grace' in light gold with the diamond white lace overlay

my question is - What color veil did you get? im not sure if i should get ivory because of how the light gold looks mixed together with the diamond white, or jut a diamond white veil since it will be next to the lace and match

my dress does not come in until october, but i would like to order my veil before then

any help is appreciated

I love the idea of the Diamond White veil...it would probably offset the lace overlay on your gown beautifully !!!

Make sure that wherever you buy it takes returns. I got the Grace Marie (same overlay) and I can't find anything that I like in conjunction or contrast with the lace.

I would do diamond white too. Maybe youcould bring in gold with some gold embrodiery or stiching on the veil.
Also, why don't you try calling Maggie Sottero for their suggestion.

JMO: I would totally wait until it comes it if it has the two different tones your describing... when it does have the people at the bridal place show you different options - find one you like and buy it somewhere else. You don't want to buy it early and find out that it doesn't match and then you're stuck with a veil and having to buy another one.

I have a Maggie dress in Diamond White but I'm waiting for it to come in so I can get a color swatch... Then I'm having my veil dyed to match the dress.

Perhaps that might work for you too?

I have grace Kelly in diamond white over gold... Already seen it and honestly the ivory veil matches fine. I don't plan on keeping it on though... so that is something you want to consider. My is just plain veil with small edging and that's it.

I would get diamond white. Don't get a color not in the dress.

I tried on white and ivory veils with my gown, which is diamond white and I saw a difference.

Try on any veil you're thinking about with the veil in question, though. That's the way to know for sure if it'll work. It didn't work for me.

I would say wait until October to get the veil. THis way you can compare the color exactly to your liking.
I definitely think the diamond white veil will go perfect with your diamond white lace overlay!
I love that dress BTW. It's absolutely gorgeous.

I wore Maggie 'Suzanne' in Ivory and my veil was ivory. My bridal salon ordered me the wrong color at first (it was in diamond white) and you can definitely tell a BIG difference in color. They reordered it for me with no problem. You can see pics in my album.

Well if this helps any- I got my dress in Diamond White and my Veil in Diamond White...

I would go try your dress on in the store with the diff veils.
