Maid of Honor...

I just recently got engaged on jan. 4,2003. As soon as I got engaged my best friend and my cousin started fighting over who was going to be my maid of honor. I want both of them to be my maid of honor.. what do i do? Is it okay to have two maids of honor?? Has this ever happened to anyone before???

If you want them both, have them both. Nothing wrong with having 2.

If you are doing that to just shut them both up, it could spell problems. Do they normally get along? If not, it could be worse to have them both do the honors...

Nowadays anything is acceptable. My best friend got married a few months ago and I was her MOH and our other friend was her matron of honor. If you can't decide, I think it's absolutely fine to have 2.

I am having two..I have an older sister and a younger sister. I could never choose between them so both will be my MOH. I have seen it so many times...its definetly is not unusual.

yea they normally get along....i was hoping by the time i got married one of them would be married so i could have a maid and a matron.. but no luck..

I'm having 2 MOH's - girls I've been friends with since 1st grade. And FI is having 2 BM - he's been friends with about as long. That's it though - no other bridal party.

i have two maids of honor. one is my sister who is still in high school and the other is my best friend. the main reason i have two is because my sister is so young. i have to warn you that my sister is FULL of resentment over this issue. any time we do anything wedding related she always makes some comment like 'why dont you ask your OTHER maid of honor' or 'that is why you have TWO maids of honor'

if i had to do it over again...i would only have one.

Thats exactly how I feel...My cousin ( one of of my MOH's) lives in other state. I feel if i chose her alone, she won't really have time to help me plan or help me with anything for that matter...
