Have any of you had a Maid of Honor AND a Matron of Honor??
I'm having a hard time picking girls for my bridal party. My bff and I had a falling out and didn't talk for about 7 months or so. We are finally talking again but we are not as close as we used to be (less chats on the phone, dont' see each other much but actually we live far away from each other now).
In that time, another friend and I became very close and she has been a tremendously good friend to me.
Since one is married and one is not, both would have that special title of being 'something-of-honor'.
Part of me thinks it's cute and part of me thinks it could be insulting.
What do you think?

I have a maid and a matron of honor. My best friend is my maid of honor and my sister is my matron of honor. There is no problem at all with it.

How long have you and your bff been friends? 5? 10? years. I had a similar situation where I had a good friend for over 15 years and we had a falling out And, we fixed it. If you had a deep close relationship I would still make her my MOH. JMO! Everyone circumstance is different. How long have you been friends with you other friend?

If you want both have both. Anything goes now a days! I am going to have my two best friends too. I do not have a sister, I cant pick one cousin over the other and certainly can not pick one best friend over the other. Im going to have a matron of honor and a maid of honor.

I have one of my sisters as a matron and the other is a maid of honor so it pretty much worked out for me.

Whew. I feel better now. Luckily, all 3 of us are good friends so I think it will work out. Now I just have to think of a way to ask them!

Exactly what my SIL did! They shared the duties on MOH. Her sister signed the marriage license though

I'm having both. My sister is my maid of honor. My cousin who is my age and we are extremely close is my matron. I was her maid and I wanted to give her some extra status. But my sister will be giving the toast...

I didn't think about who will give the toast. Did you choose or did your sister offer?

You can absolutely have both. I was a co-MOH in a wedding. Another friend of mine had a maid of honor and matron of honor.
