Maid of Honor in a different color and Tuxedo issues
I picked out my bridesmaid dresses and they are sage green. I thought it would be cool for my maid of honor to wear a different color and she will be wearing pink. However, we just went out to look at tuxes and I am a little torn. We both want the groomsmen in black vests with a colored tie so Id have one pink tie and the rest of the guys in green ties. I really want the best man to match my maid of honor. I think this is a better option because I think if we use colored vests it will look tacky with the different colors. Has anyone ever done this before and have pictures? We have more than enough time but just been thinking about it. Sry if I am rambling! TIA ladies!

Hmmm...mixing pink and green is lovely for girls, but you're right, I can see how it might be a little too much for guys. Have you thought of maybe doing black ties and vests but using a colored pocket square and/or having the guys' flowers on their jackets match the dress colors instead? Just an idea...

Oops, posted before I finished! Sorry...what I was getting at was that this way you can still match the b.m with the moh and the other groomsmen with the bridesmaids, just be a little more subtle with the color since they are guys. Good luck - I'm sure whatever you decide will look great!

im doing something similar to this - my moh and bm will be in lighter purple, while the rest of the bridal party is in darker purple. im going to check out my bm dresses this weekend and will upload pictures then - but in the meantime, i do have pictures of the tuxedos in my album. i think black vests and colored ties would be great - they'll really pop that way.

i had all my BM's in different colors. when it cam to the guys we wanted them to match in some way. at first we thought of the ties but when i took the BM dress samples and tried to match the colors, it was difficult to get a good match. we ended up going with matching pocket squares and coordinated color socks (they had stripes, so they didn't match perfectly but were close)
