How old is she? She sounds possibly young and naive.

Re: Maid of Honor issue
that would really piss me off. I would tell her that the MOH has specific responsiblities, especially to give the bride the support she needs. I would ask her if she wanted to just be a BM as opposed to a MOH.

Re: Maid of Honor issue
Don't even get me started. My two MOH's are my older sisters and they are 39 and 41, so I'm not all that close with them either. The 41-year-old has been very involved and supportive, but the 39-year-old is so self-absorbed it's ridiculous. Apparently the new drama is that she doesn't want to go in the limo with everyone for my b-party because she may not want to stay the whole time
My mother is livid with her.....I think she's more pissed than I am.

Im just considering taking her out all together...what Im annoyed at is I even told her from the start if its something you dont want basically dont feel like you have to.. I mean she has no consideration for me/towards me why should I even give her a heads up...

that's messed up. sit down with her and have a talk with her. its not right that she does this to you. MOH has a lot of responsibilities

Re: Maid of Honor issue
I'd ask your mom to speak to her. Has she ever been a BM before, let alone a MOH? It seems like she's clueless about how weddings are planned! If she really hasn't been involved ask her if she really wants the responsibility of being a MOH and say you'd be happy to have her as a BM if she wants to step down. Maybe she doesn't understand the role. Some people think all they really have to do is help the bride get dressed. Also explain to her how it's not like buying a dress for a party. Dresses need to be ordered in advance so they can be made a shipped and alterations can be done.

Re: Maid of Honor issue
wow. Shes your sister. That alone should be enough for her to get her azz in gear.
I'd sit her down and say are you in or out? that's it. You're cutting it dangerously close w that dress too.
I'm sorry you're dealing with that. :(

Re: Maid of Honor issue
I've mentioned to her abt ordering the dress. It was harmless and was like hey the bridesmaids ordered so and so in this color.. If you see a dress you like get it in this color and that was it...Im pretty layed back and not pushy.. I asked her from the start if your in or out and she said in so now i dont want to make of it.
