Hi, My best friend is getting married next month and I need to make a speech! Does anyone have any advice or can recommend a good book to help?

Actually you really can't make a speech like that from a book. What you need to do is really think about your relationship with the bride. Look at some old photos, read some old notes, watch some old home movies... You have to draw up your feelings for this woman and how you feel towards her FH. Remember this isn't a business demo, but a good friend, someone you are wishing your best. It needs to come from your gut.

If you want to get ideas of word formats, they do have speeches books out there that could possibly be your muse (your local library may have) but if you are still stuck, maybe think about what you would like your best friend to say about you at your wedding. What sort of memories or emotions would you like her to say. It may help. Good luck

I agree. It needs to come from the heart.

Re: Maid of honor speech
you can do a search on google.. i did that just to get some ideas. once you sit down to do it.. things will come up. I started out my speech talking about some good times we had when we were growing up, then about when the bride and groom first met and fell in love, then i said some things about what a nice couple they were and then ended with a toast to the happy couple.. good luck!
