Maid of Honor/Bridesmaids

Maid of Honor/Bridesmaids

Oi. I'm not sure what to do. I have a couple of issues, I'm not as close to the two girls i was considering anymore. They're both great, but I don't feel like we're really great friends anymore. Plus i feel bad burdening them with the duties of the MOH and bridesmaid. Just a couple of weeks ago one girl told me should couldn't afford to buy her other friend an engagement gift, and shes having other financial issues. Plus I don't think they're into this stuff. I told my one friend we were meeting with a photographer and she sounded suprised, like she didn't know why we needed one. One girl actually asked me if she was invited! Is it wrong to ask my brother to wear a dress? My Aunt had her son as her 'Best Man.' but i feel like it would be weird for everyone. I guess I'd feel like i was missing out on the whole 'lets go pick out dresses.' 'Lets go get our hair and nails done'. Do you think having my brother as my 'maid of honor' or 'best man' is weird?

there is such a thing as the 'Man of Honor' i've seen it.. and it doesn't look odd.. i was thinking about having my BFF be my man of honor.... but the little by little me and my sister got along better so she's my maid of honor... i would totally use ur brother... it would be prolly be such a great honor for him...

Yeah, I'm definitely considering it. I just don't want him to be uncomfortable, idk if that sounds weird or not.

I don't think you should choose someone you're not that close with just because it will look better, etc. Having a Man of Honor who you really love will mean a lot more to you. Sounds like a great idea!

honestly... just be straight up honest with him... ask him.. and then really ask for his thoughts and feelings on it... you never know he might be really into it.. plus dont just pick someone because it looks better... you dont have someone up there with you that you aren't happy and close with...

i agree! just talk it over with him. i do not see anything wrong with a man of honor.

i've heard of guys being the 'man of honor' -- i'd mention it to him and tell him how you'd want him over aaaaall of the girls you know and how impt he is to you. i'm sure he'll love it!

if you are having bridesmaids too, you can have him wear something a little different -- like a vest the color of the BM dresses and the groomsmen wear something else?
