Hey ladies so I wanted to get your input on something. How do you feel about having a maid AND matron of honor? Do people do this?? I already asked my sister in law to be matron of honor because we are so close but I am also so close with one of my friends who I always thought I'd have as my moh. Does it work out having both??

Re: maid/matron of honor
My friend did this with her sister and then her neice. The Maid was the one who stood next to her during the ceremony, but they both helped plan things out.
It can def work and it may make it easier on them to share the responsibilities.

Yes, you can do that. I know plenty of brides that do. I will have 2 MOH's.

Re: maid/matron of honor
I'm doing both.
My sister (is my maid of honor) and will only be 21 (and still in college) when FH and I get married, so I know she really won't be into helping me plan, etc. My best friend (is my matron of honor) and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: maid/matron of honor
ahhh thanks guys! So I already asked my sister in law to be matron of honor. Any ideas on how to ask my best friend? She thinks I just want her to be a bridesmaid since I already asked my sister in law.

I didn't do anything fancy. I just asked her but said something to her beforehand about how she's my best friend and I couldn't picture my wedding day without her standing next to me, etc.

Definitely do it! I was in a wedding with both and it was great. Maybe get her some kind of maid of honor clothing.

Re: maid/matron of honor
Definitely!!!! You can have whatever you want, the only reason the names are different is because one is married. I have 2 matrons of honor and 1 maid of honor (all my sisters and we are so close)

Re: maid/matron of honor
At first I wasn't sure if I should have 2 also, but as I continued to do my research on weddings I noticed that a lot of brides now have a matron and a maid of honor and that made my decision so much easier!

Re: maid/matron of honor
I think a lot of people do this. The further im getting into planning the more im realizing that there are very few norms anymore, which is great!!
