Re: Mailing back responces???
i'm debating the same thing right now. FI and I live together, but my parents are paying for about 1/2 of the reception. Don't want to be dis-respectful to do them, but i think i want the responses to come back to me. not 100% sure yet, though!

I think if your parents are on the invitation as inviting the guest to the Wedding, then the responses should get mailed to their name, their house.

I do not live with my parents but they are paying for the majority of the wedding so the responses are going to them.

Re: Mailing back responces???
My parents paid for the majority of our wedding expenses. The RSVP's had my name on it to be return to me although I lived with them up until 4 months before the wedding. The reason for having my name on the RSVP is because my parents were not taking responsibility of handling all the RSVP's and updating the guest list. My mother only cared about her family and her friends which is only 1/3 of the entire guest list, thus somebody needs to accept responsibility for handling all 300 names. My MIL also only cared for her own family and friends--so I ended up handling the entire guest list. Out of the 300 names which also includes children' names only 150 adults actually attended and 8 children attended. Thus, I was stressed out but I had control of the organization despite I didn't have control of the finance being allocated. However, several of my aunts and uncles were puzzled as to why my name was on the RSVP card although they knew about the finances being paid for by my mother. It was the only way I know I can track guest responses and maintain organization.
During our receiving line of congratulatory messages, I have already memorized all 150 guests' names and where they live. Many people congratulated us during the receiving line and I thank them by referring to their first names. My DH was shocked at how many names I know! Hey, when you update the guest list 500+ times you memorize everybody's names and where they live.

Re: Mailing back responces???
I hadn't really thought about it as a question - my dad is basically giving us the money for the wedding, but I'm having the RSVP's sent to me -well, my name but we live together (both names wouldn't fit) but, I think my dad really wouldn't want to have to worry about keeping track. At least I hope he's not upset by it.

Re: Mailing back responces???
FI and I live together, my mother is paying for about half of the wedding. The responses are being mailed to our apartment in my name. I wanted to keep track myself and not worry about picking up response cards from my mom's house.
