When are invitations supposed to go out. I am getting married August 9th. The woman I got them from said that they should go out now. But I think it is too early. Any thoughts?
My wedding is August 31, and I don't plan on mailing them until at least mid-June. I was told no more than 2 months before, but we might do it 2.5 months before because it's a holiday weekend, and because we live out of state.
I'm early August, and we are sending them out in the first week of June, with an RSVP date by July 1st.
FYI- the response envelopes will need extra postage due to the increase at the end of June. The stamps will increase to .37, they will sell the .3 stamps before the new stamps come out. Basically, they will not sell the new .37 stamps until the end of June, and if your sending your invites out before that, you will need to have the proper postage.

I have already sealed the envelopes for the invitations. What should I do about that extra postage?
I have heard...I mailed mine at just over 9 weeks...but being the summer and alot of people go away I wanted to make sure they knew (even with STD cards)...but I'm glad I got them out early!!
