I'm loosing my mind. I finally finally put the last stamp on and glued the last one shut.... now how do I hand this at post office.
Whats the special instructions for the post office people?
I don't know but throwing them down the blue box on the corner just doesn't seem right...
I'm clueless... help ... and I'm so nervous... nothing makes sense
I have a few going internationals that don't have any stamps, they can do that at post office right. I don't know why I went into a panic the last hour about how I will never be able to find a big enough stamp to send to Australia.

Re: Mailing Invites?
ok now I'm freaking out again..
'maximum height, 6 1/8' usps says
my invites are in a 7' square envelope... am I screwed?
I didn't check this before, because a couple of years ago FH got a 7' square one .

it costs more to mail invites that are considered 'oversized' (like mine were)
did you check with the post office to see how much postage they need? worst case, you'll need to add one more stamp but get them weighed before you drop them off

Ok, yes FH did this, I think we have more than enough, just by weight it costs .79, its oversize and square and whatever other issues come up I think 1.34 covers it.
But I just come to counter and say these are invites and they know what to do? I mean will they hurt my precious invites lol
I don't know why I'm freaking out like this.

Re: Mailing Invites?
I hand cancelled my daughters at the post office but they would have done them for us. Make sure you have them weigh them for the postage because ours were square and because of this there was an additional 20 cents. I would hate to have them come back or have people have to pay to get their invites.

Re: Mailing Invites?
go up to the counter and tell them you would like to hand cancel the invitations. i can't remember what they call that stamp they use. i asked the woman when i bought my stamps and she said to ask for that stamp, that they had no problem at the massapequa post office with canceling them myself. some post offices aren't as accomodating.

Re: Mailing Invites?
I went to the PO and got my envelopes weighed. I told them I wanted them hand-cancelled. They gave me the approriate stamps needed, I paid, and I put them on the invites there at the PO.
When I was done, the PO worker took the box of invites in the back to have them hand cancelled. That was it.
I gave all of my international invites to her seperately.

OK... I'm doing this today. I'm so nervous over these stupid pieces of paper I can't even believe it. Its making me insane.
If I my pre-engaged self saw my present self, she'd give her a good punch in the nose.
