Mailing invites question?

Mailing invites question?

I am waiting to receive my return address stamp in the mail, which hopefully comes soon, and these babies are OUT!

I remember reading some ppl took 'batches' of invites to the PO over a few days instead of bringing them all at once- is there a reason for this? Should I do this?

I did it it in batches just to make it easier on myself...i called it putting together and mailing the invitations in phases. I work and have a side business so i did every little that i could in the little time i have left.

I also chose to mail the invites at the post office near my office b/c there was a comfort level there....I couldn't take all my invites at once.

Its up to you...do what works for you either in phases or all at once.

ok, so there's no reason I shouldn't be able to do them all at once? I have 95. I didn't know if they gave you a hard time about hand cancelling that many at one time or something.

i got mine out all at once so that if someone from the family gets it and the other person doesnt they will wonder why... i know its a stupid reason but people are childish

I had mine done all at once, about the same amount as you. I went to the deer park post office a few days before and asked them when a good time to come in would be in order to have them hand cancelled while I waited and they said it was hard to tell when they would be busy but usually mid-week mid-morning was slower. I asked if it was busy when I came in if they would mind just checking them for me to make sure the postage was correct and then I could just stamp them by myself and they said that would be fine. I went on a Wed. or Thurs. morning around 10:30am and they set me up at an empty part of the counter with a stamp and in between customers the ladies would come over and help. They were so sweet and helpful. If you live remotely close I would totally recommend going there. It's the post office on carll's straight path. HTH
