Everyone keeps telling me that I should have sent mine out already. I've had them sitting on my desk for a few months now but I figured I'd mail them either late May or early June. Which is...NOW! EEK! My question is... how do i send them? I ordered magnets from vistaprint and I have no idea how to mail them out. Should i attach them to index cards? Do I include a note with them? If so, what should it say? What size envelope should I use? Can I use a regular envelope or should I get heavy duty or fancy ones? I have no idea what to do! Please Help!!

Re: Mailing Save the Dates
i ordered mine from vistaprint as well, but i got matching envelopes
just stuck 'em in, stamped them and mailed i didnt attach them to anything
I'm sending out a magnet, with 2 small cards that my mom made. One of the cards has our info, names, date, etc, when I'm feeling less lazy I'll take a pic. The other card has hotel info, because we have a lot of OOT guests. I'm sending them in a regular invitation envelope, and, we printed them out on card stock that my mom bought at Staples. HTH.
Also, I'm getting married in Feb. and not sending out until sometime this week, hopefully, so, relax!

I printed out a little poem on photo paper and cut slits into it to attach the magnet. Photos in my album.

DOH! I totally forgot the fact that I should include hotel information. Did you send the hotel information to everyone? Or just the out of towners? Did you consider guests who are on the Island OOT depending on how far away they are? Or are all LI guests 'local'? sorry... i have no other sources for info for stuff like this i feel like i ask too many questions!

Re: Mailing Save the Dates
It's alright! I am sending the hotel info to everyone, because its a PITA to send it only to OOT's, and, also, because I want whomever is on the Island that is planning on staying at the hotel to also book early!

Re: Mailing Save the Dates
thanks so much! I know that 90% if not more ... of my guests are from the Island. BUT i also know that most of my guests are drinkers and it's a friday night wedding ending after midnight so i figured i'd book enough rooms for a few LI guests as well. You're right, sending the info to everyone will be much easier.

I love these! I really want to do magnets also. Where did you get them and were they reasonably priced? I am sending out STD's the last week of August, since FH's sister is getting married the beginning of August...we want to allow our family to settle and recover from one wedding before hearing about another lol That will be 11 months before our big day.

Re: Mailing Save the Dates
i got them at www.magnetstreet.com - they were $.89 each i think? I bought the cardstock, rhinestones, ribbon, rubberstamps and ink pads at Michaels. It was fun and easy. The magnets came with envelopes also!!
They were a liiiitttle bit more than other magnets BUT magnetstreet deff offered the BEST selection ive seen anywhere!
