Maine Maid Inn:(

HI-

I just received a phone call saying the Maine Maine Inn will be closing down and they will be sending our money back. We had our rehearsal dinner booked there. (An outdoor/indoor BBQ)-- I live in TX and cannot come home to go searching again-- can anyone give me some places to look at. Low key and pretty inexpensive?? I would still like to do something inside/outdoors but will take anything. I will not be able to go look at it, so I'm putting my trust in you girls.

I need a place for about 40 ppl and it is for a Saturday night. Any suggestions are appreciated

I don't know if they do indoor/outdoor, but Milleridge Inn is very nice and is reasonably priced. Pictures of the Garden Room there are in my album from my sister's shower. There was a patio adjacent to that room, but I don't know if the guests would be able to make use of it during the dinner. Also Milleridge Inn is not very far from Maine Maid Inn.

Melting Pot in Farmingdale has a room that would accomodate approx 40 people. It's a fondue restaurant, so they have cheese fondue for appetizer, then the entree is fondue that you cook yourself and then chocolate fondue for dessert.

Awww- your wedding is just around the corner:(-- I'm looking for Nassau county- Our wedding is in Woodbury and our guests are staying in Plainview so not too far but we can look a little into Suffolk county too.

Check out the DeServesky Center at the NYIT. It has a smallish room with a glass garden room and doors that lead to a beautiful patio with views of vast lawns and lake. It was gorgeous.

La Famiglia in Plainview. they have a room that could hold 40 and they are a family style restaurant. Never been there but I hear the food is really good.
