maine maid inn/shower

i just got an invite to my shower (under the guise of my best friend's grandfather's birthday). it's at the maine maid inn. the place looks like it's got the perfect atmosphere for me - very old and historical looking.

has anyone been there before? is the food good?

oh, the really funny thing is that the invitation was from my best friend's mother. the directional card in it had a thumbtack hole in it like it had been hung on a bulletin board. that was the thing that sealed the deal that this 'birthday party' was a cover. i'm going to have to practice being surprised!

My Aunt had her 2nd wedding there, and it was great. Good atmosphere, great service & the food was great.

i used to work for a phone company AVaya...and I sold them their phone system...it is victorian, historic looking, but I hear it has good food! have fun!

I've been to a shower there and also to big family dinners. The food is good, they are owned by Lessings.

lessings recently aquired the 3 village inn, which has AMAZING food!! I think one of the major managers moved over there and all the other lessings are cooking like the 3village inn now... so im sure it will be great!!

We always have parties for work there. It is really nice and the food is delicious.

We had a shower there for a friend of mine whose wedding I was in! It was REALLY nice! VERY private! You're going to love it!! Practice the 'Surprised' look!!!!

That's a great place for a shower. Both my brother's and sister's RD were there. If my shower was at a restaurant, that was where I wanted it to be.

I just went to a bridal shower there recently and it turned out great. The food was very good. I also had my school's christmas party there this last christmas and everything was great. Really attentive staff!! I hope this helps!!
