Maitre D

At our RH, the maitre D gets 300 bucks thats included in our package that we have to pay. So do we still tip him?

no- they did this at my friends wedding- they just included his tip in the package. It's kinda tacky on their part b/c gratuity is based on service. Are you having 150 ppl? If so- thats $2 pp and going rate tip is $2 - $3 pp for maitre'd. It's weird b/c how dothey know you wouldn't have tipped more.

ETA: you are getting married on my b-day- yah!

IDK, they included a $3pp MD fee in our package and told us we still have to tip him an additional $1.50 - $2pp in addition to that

I'm confused about this too. My package includes 15% gratuity, but I don't know WHO that goes to!

I'm pretty sure the 15% goes to pay the wait staff. Not as tips, but as their salary- they don't make too much. They usually only get tips if the guests tip them.

We're inviting 150 but i heard 20 percent say no. hes not gettin no tip 300 is enough

we have 2 maitre'd's so we have to pay double! It is really ridiculous... i understand they run your wedding.. but the prices we are paying already... it is just insane!
