Maitre D/Bridal attendant tip

I was given envelopes by my venue for tipping the Maitre D and Bridal Attendant. I'm having a Saturday afternoon wedding for a 135 guests in June and they recommended a $600-800 tip for the Maitre D and a $200-$250 tip for the bridal attendant. I'm completely taken aback by these numbers. I thought Maitre D was $1-$3 a guest and a bridal attendant should be about $150.

Any insight would be appreciated!

The maitre ' D tip is usually $3-$5 per person. Your venue is recommending $4-$6 per person which is still pretty typical. The bridal attendant fee seems a bit high. We were told by our venue that $125 -$150 would be fine.
