what exactly is the diff b/c when i went to my last appointment at the RH he was going over all the stuff the maitre'd does and it was all the stuff I thought a DOC would do...

DOC also helps arrange stuff before the wedding...like calling all your vendors

oh - so I wouldn't really need one anyway since we're getting ready at the RH and having the ceremony there we are going to be there all day from 11am until the ceremony starts at 2...

Mait're D helps coordinate stuff going on within the RH. He/she isn't going to help you bustle your gown or anything like that. A bridal attendant would, though. Do you have a Bridal Attendant? She's diff than the DOC bc she is provided by the RH and is there for you and whatever you need.

They drive behind you. Sometimes they may have to go ahead of you depending if they have anything to set up at your RH. A DOC knows your vision because you had meetings with them and they will arrange for the photogrpher to do the must take photos, make sure the RH sets up the right way and if they don't they will fix it. They make sure everything runs smooth and anything goes wrong they will fix it. My sister's DOC had a streamer to steam the guys tuxes thatgot crushed up in the limo

Your DOC should also have an emergency kit with her in case you need any extra items. They should also hand out the tips for your vendors, and take care of any unexpected issues that might come up. They should help you confirm your vendors, go to your rehearsal, and basically just make sure to run your day so you don't have to.
