FH and I booked our venue this weekend! Such a relief!
8/31/14 at the Riviera!!! We have been dealing with Vicki the whole time and she is such a sweetheart! I am so excited to have our wedding there!

FH asked me on the car ride home.. what's next? Honestly, I have no idea! What would you ladies recommend booking next? I'm thinking photographer?

Does anyone think it would be too early to go dress shopping? I am considering going this week, but I'm not sure if I would have 'dress regret' as we get closer to the date..

Congratulations! I would do photographer and DJ, those go first. I'm looking to go dress shopping towards the end of the spring, I think a little over a year is good since it takes 6-8 months for most dresses to come in.

If officiant is important to you, I'd book that person next. Otherwise I'd go for photographer/videographer and DJs. They book up quickly and I know I didn't want to have to settle on those...

If you're getting married in a church... definitely book that next or book your officiant if that matters to you.

I did this order also. Start checking out the vendors that can only do one wedding per day. If you want a specific photographer or MC in a DJ company, they can only be in one place, so go after them first!

Congrats on the huge and best check! We did venue, church, band, photographer/videographer, in that order. We booked the band because we knew exactly who we wanted without looking at anyone else, otherwise I would have looked at photographers first.

Congrats! I would definitely do as much now as you can so you're not overwhelmed as your date approaches. Also don't worry about dress regret. Once you find THE one, nothing else could ever compare.
