Major Pet Peeve

maybe its just been a long week but when you say 'thank you' to someone, dont you expect to hear 'You're Welcome' back and not 'MmmHmm...'?! To me, they might as well say 'Yeah you BETTER thank me! I absolutely HATE that!
geez i sound cranky...

That gets on my nerves too. I worked for one woman that did that constantly, it drove me up the wall.

Sometimes I hate when I say 'thank you' and the person says 'not a problem' - well, I KNOW it's not a problem, it's your JOB...

That bothers me....but what bothers me more is when poeple don't say thank you at all.
In the morning I sometimes would stop at a shell station and the woman behind the counter is annoying to me because she never says Hello, Good Morning or thank you at the end of the transaction...for that simple fact I started going to the aamco station across the street.
