thats what i heard too. im not sure if stretch marks work the same as scars but my dr told me that its really the rubbing motion that brings blood to the area and lessens the appearance, not the actual lotion/cream you are applying topically so any lotionwill really do the same thing. just to make sure you rub it often and for 5 minutes at a time.

Re: major skin care question
Not sure if this'll help. I just started going to a dermatologist for marks on my back (had them for about 8 yrs.), they gave me a cream and they're gone. If you can, see if you can get a referral for a dermatologist just to look at it and see what they say. If they can give you medication (I have gel meds for in the shower), that'll be awesome. If the only option is surgery, forget it. When you have your make-up trial, see if the person can cover it up...

I don't think there is a way to get toatally rid of them- I know I haven't found the cure yet, if you do be sure to pass it on! Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter are supposed to help though

Re: major skin care question
Get Retin A from your dermatologist. It helps. It worked for me. But it'll make the skin in that area very sensitive to sun.
I don't think you can completely get rid of them though.
