MAJOR UPDATE - went to the E.R.!!! (Quasimodo lookalike contest)

In my room, right now.

I'd post pics, but I'd scare everyone off.

I can only see out of one eye- my left is all red and swollen to a scott savol-like squint.

I took some benedryl and I'm icing it, but the swelling isn't going down!!!

It's been about 40 minutes now...

I went on a blind date once and all I could think the whole time was the guy looked like Quasimodo....it was bad.
Then he tried to kiss me and I totally freaked out and said 'Please don't kiss me'......EWWWW.

OK, so I posted that the swelling was going down....

it was fine for another hour or so, but then it started to blow up again!!! The whole left side of my face was distorted, and my eye was running CONSTANTLY. My face got really hot, and FH said I got VERY pale, then I fell to the ground. He picked me up, got me some water, we washed my face, but after another 40 minutes and another benedryl, it was still bad --- he took me to the ER.

They checked out the eye, said nothing was in there, and gave me some painful shot IN THE FACE to make the swelling go down.

I got home around 8:30, and watched Desperate Housewives through 1 eye, 'cause the left is still blurry, I have to go back tomorrow if my vision doesn't clear!!!

They searched my face for a bug bite or something, but then concluded that whatever it was probably started in my eye.

They just said that there may have been something in my eye earlier in the day that I'm allergic too - but they couldn't find anything when I was there.

They also yelled at me for putting Visine in my eye to relieve the initial redness (before the swelling.) I thought Visine's job was to RELIEVE REDNESS!??!

OMG...how scary! It sounds like an awful allergic reaction. It's scary when you don't know what causes it.
