make up

What is a normal price range to expect to pay for make up and hair for my wedding?

I am contemplating paying for my bridal parties as well....

I have a maid of honor, a mini maid of honor, 8 bridesmaids and 2 mothers who i would be taking care of, and myself.

What does makeup normally run for day of, and for trial, and what do you think is a good expectation or budget for make up? and hair?


One other question, is it wrong for me to ask the bridal party if they would prefer if i bought them a gift or paid for hair and make up for them? (im realizing the expense of everything now and its a bit crazy)

honestly it really depends... for a makeup trial i paid as little as $40.00 up to as much as $85.00. The day of for the bride is almost always at LEAST $100 and up. Bridesmaids for the most part run around $65.00(i find that to be ABOUT average)..

Hair is another expense...again, depends on the place. My girls chose their stylists and paid about $75 (the stylist also came to the house..this included that).

As for myself, I paid $300 total..which was $150 for hair, $150 for makeup. I really search for my girl and found her to be the only one who really spent so much time with me at my trial to achieve the look i wanted. she was WONDERFUL (by the way - i used *****. she's PHENOMENAL...here is her blog: Blogspot and here's a pic again - it really depends..u just have to call around & ask! I found this site really helpful with that as most of the girls here post their pics/reviews/etc. good luck!

i am using the same person. And I loved the way I looked in my trial. Pictures are in my album..

I havent started figuring out hair yet... so I cant give you prices for that...

but I've seen bridal makeup for 115-150... or even higher sometimes if you're looking for airbrush. and for bridesmaids ive seen 60-80 for makeup.

The girl im planning on using is fantastic she is doing my sisters wedding and everything... fm me for details! :) HTH!
