So I thought I would share this information with you ladies...
I really like Bobbi Brown make-up and thought I would call the counter in Roosevelt Field and ask if any of their technicians do in-home make-up for weddings on the side and guess what THEY ALL DO!! Not only that...but the woman I spoke with said that you can come to the store and get a trial done for FREE...yes for FREE! I asked her if it was customary to purchase a product since they are doing the trial for free and she said NO!
I asked her how much the day of would be and if they travel to the house and she told me that if I booked with her the day of would be $125 for me and $75 for each additional person.
If you are on a tight budget and don't have the money to waste on trials then this is a great idea for you! All you have to do it go to the store, get a trial and book with that person. If you don't like the trial with that person then go another time and have a trial done with another person...that simple!

whoa....that is a lot of money! I would call and ask the person who picks up the phone or when you are in the mall swing by and just ask whoever is at the counter this way you can get a better idea of who charges what.

Re: Make-Up
I just called the location at Bloomingdales on 59th Street and I was told 75 for the trial b/c you will need to purchase for touch ups, 300 for the day (but each artist has their own prices), and 150 for BP. He did mention that he stays with you up to the reception and retouches you right after the ceremony. But I think each one charges differently and offers different options with their prices.

Which Bobbi Brown Make-up counter did you go to? Did you tip the person that did your trial for free?

Re: Make-Up
I did the same thing with Clinique - went to the counter at Macy's in Manhasset. My makeup was perfect and I got a free trial (I tipped the makeup artist for her time).

I think that's enough. That is exactly what I was thinking would be a good tip for a free trial.
Give a call to the Bloomingdales counter at Roosevelt Field Mall and ask what those girls charge for day of. I feel like because you were in the City they charge more than what they would charge on the Island.

Me too...I think MAC is a separate company from Bobbi Brown though I went to MAC for a trial but she wanted so much money ($175 for me, $125 for each BM ) to come to me.

That's true. I love MAC products though so you can just wait and buy what you need for yourself lol. They add up pretty quickly...I just posted about my trial with MAC on top of this one if anyone's interested It was at WW Mall w/a gal named M?I?A (can't spell her name out on here bec of the other makeup artist w/the same name...).
