Has anyone found someone that they really loved for their Make-up? It seems as though the economy hasnt affected the make up artist industy and everyone is just as expensive, so I wanted to see who had an idea of who loved their make up trials and if you have any reasonably priced people also that would help!

most of the make-up artists who come to you are going to be expensive. everyone that i looked at was at least $150-200. I contacted cactus salon and their prices were VERY VERY reasonable. FM me if you want more info for the location that I contacted (port jefferson). I would suggest going to a salon to get hair and makeup the morning of. If you are in nassau I know that maximus salon does a good job and their prices for hair and makeup if you go to the salon are really reasonable as well. hope this helps!

I do my own makeup really well so finding someone who does it just as well or better was a real challenge, but she truly is amazing. I definitely say give her a call/email. Her trials for hair and make up are $150 (or $75 for each). HTH!

I loved my trial. I used Ciara from alldolledupny.com. The trial was $50 and day of is $100 and she also comes to your house on the day of the wedding.

If you break it down though, my hair trial was $85. Then my makeup trial was $75. I'm not using her, but M ia does both, so to me it seems normal that it's $150. You know? That's how much I paid, just to two different people. I think she may take that $150 off the day-of, but I could be totally wrong on that.
Either way, to the OP. I've come to learn that a great hair stylist and makeup artist is almost priceless. I've had different trials and makeup applications through this year (b-pics, and two makeup trials) and I learned that one style of makeup application was NOT for me and didn't look good in person. I'm willing to pay the extra $100 to get the makeup application I want so it looks great in person as well as photos.

M*I*A does not take the $150 off for the day of.
But its not expensive. Its a makeup AND hair trial. She does about 2-3 different hair styles for you, she did 2 looks for me with my makeup. Shes a TRUE artist and from someone who know something about makeup, it takes someone with talent to do it right. And its your wedding day, a once in a lifetime day, pictures that last a lifetime that you dont get a do-over for. Her prices REALLY arent expensive, plus she comes to you the day of. I had 2 bad trials before my AMAZING one with M*I*A* not only is she one of the most talented people Ive ever met, she specializes in BRIDAL hair and makeup, she made me feel SOO comfortable, shes got a GREAT personality and she understands HOW important a wedding day is to a woman and why she would want to walk into the room and make people go WOW!!!!!!
I dont know I dont mean it rude to anyone or anything AT ALL, so please dont be offended I just see the same post over and over again with people saying they dont understand why hair and makeup artists cost so much when in reality they dont. When you find someone who is good, no amazing and makes you feel like a million bucks, it IS priceless as the woman before posted.

TOTALLY agree. she was amazing. i haven't posted pics yet from my wedding (being lazy about it) but here's one. I was totally thrilled with how everything came out.
I used Mya Cosmetic Artistry trials are $55 and day of is $125

I used Oksana for my wedding! she was seriously awesome!!!!!!!!!!! and I was in a bad car accident 3 days before too, so its proof how talented she is!!!
