I am looking for a makeup and hairstylist to come to my house on a sunday morning, but I have been getting OUTRAGEOUS prices. If anyone knows of a good stylist and or make up artist that won''t cost me more than my gown, I would love to hear from you. thanks.

I just got married on 6/9 - I used Elaine for my wedding and while she was reasonable and did a decent job, she was done with my bridesmaids at 11am when she was supposed to be done by 9:30, when the photographer came (the limo was supposed to be driving us to the wedding by 10:45!) so I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND ELAINE TO ANYONE. BUT, although I don't have her number, I know a couple of people who used PAULINE (I'm sure someone on the board has her number) and were VERY happy with her. She does hair and make-up and isn't TOO badly priced. Lots of luck!!! Karen

Yes, it is the Elaine Pauline recommends. She is a nice woman and she did do a nice job on everyone - all the girls looked great - but getting done an hour and a half late - getting done AFTER we were already supposed to have driven away in the limo - is just really rotten and was completely stressful. I wanted to get lots of pictures with my bridesmaids at my house, but instead had to settle for a couple or really quick shots before we went running for the limo since we were running late b/c of her - I really hope those pics turned out okay. In fact, part of her 'service' is that she is there while the photographer is taking photos, to do touch-ups and make sure you look good. She obviously didn't do that for me since she was STILL doing my bridesmaids! If you book her, just make sure she comes really early. She was supposed to get to my house at 6am, but she didn't arrive until 6:30 and she was supposed to be done by 9:30am, but she wasn't done until 11am. She did hair + make-up for me and just hair for 4 others. I'd heard a lot of really good stuff about her before I booked her, so maybe I was just unlucky, but I would NEVER recommend her to ANYONE after my experience with her!
