Make up artist and Hair too

I was going to go with a makeup artist and I just don't like her attitude over the phone. THank God I didn't pay a down payment ...but anyone have any suggestions.....I cannot go for a trial because I am an OOT bride but want someone who get raves. I am getting married in NY

Also suggest your hair stylist that travels

Issue resolved with the vendor....sorry ladies

She is a MAC artist and travels to your home.

Also, do a vendor search and there are other make up vendors there.

I do NOT have personal experience, but I was told, in general to stay away from M*I*A.

I am using Makeup by Marisa for makeup and Hair Design By Angela for hair--- FM me for more info. if you like. Reasonably priced and take time with their work!

I am having the same problems... I live in TX, and its not like i can just come home and have a trial. I am trying to find someone who is willing to wake up early( like 630-7am) on sept 13. of this year, as i will be home, and i am in a wedding. So to play around, and have my hair and makeup done right before the wedding will work for two things.( trial and wedding). I dunno it ***** living far away and trying to plan all this

Jan [email protected] / 347-245-9661. She's great and reasonable. She travels to you also... and if you need someone for hair trials, her sister who works at Concept Elite in Brooklyn travels too... They did my friend's and our hair and make-up for her wedding and a lot of other people we know use her.... great work. They are really nice too.

I am using Elena from The Bridal Touch.. She does both hair and makeup and will travel to you..

I agree. Its so hard especially being that you can't travel alot. I have an infant so traveling alot s hard....especialy since FH works so it would be me and my daughter. Hair and makeup is a very impt Tpart of your look the day of your wedding so it needs to be PERFECT. This is why I am doing my research on here. I have gotten such great suggestions from people. I hope I have a good experience

Thanks ladies!!! iN CASE ANYONE WAS WONDERING...THE MAKE UP ARTIST IS NIQUAY FA. SHE COMES ACROSS AS SUCH A SWEET PERSON AT FIRST AND IF SHE DOESN'T GET THE MONEY RIGHT AWAY SHE JUST SWITCHES. I must admit she was a complete doll at first and I was so excited about using her. She even adjusted her prices to accommadate my large bridal party. Where the problem came pretty much the last phone call that I had with her. To me it seemed as though she was angry because I was taking so long. I mean I know its a business and I understand that if something else comes up you have to take it. I am unemployed so FH takes care of the bills, mortgage,etc so I had to wait until he did this before I paid the deposit. I finally had it ready and called her and she told me she will not accept my deposit unless my BM's paid their deposit too because she will not come out for just a bride.....she has to feed her family her exact words....so I got upset and felt like I could get recommendations from you girls.....her work is great but her attitude was not what I expected....very unprofessional..I really was disappointed because really did love her work....but I guess maybe it's a good thing this all happened before i made my downpayment.......I guess we OOT brides have to be careful especially the famous ones......but thanks to you LIW ladies I have so much options and now am having a hard time choosing because all these people are so sweet over the phone
