I'm going on my third make up trial, and Im almost discouraged enough to say forget it, Im doing it myself. Anyone doing their own after not being so impressed w/ trials??

Re: Make Up---Do it yourself or not?

If you haven't already, try Maureen Pedala . I thought about doing my own makeup, but figured I'll be too stressed out to put on my eyeliner straight and my false lashes would probably end up coming off after a 1/2 hour

I agree, JN is just great. She was my first and only trial. Booked her on the spot.
If you aren't happy with somethine speak up and she will change it, we did that with my lipstick and then it was perfect!

She is so sweet and I loved my makeup for my wedding.

I also had 3 trials and was not impressed w/ any of them - It was not that I was just 'not impressed' - I HATED the entire makeup application. - I was about to just do my own and I tried Maureen Pedala and was extremely happy w/ her ! She is not cheap, but IMO worth the money - Her trial is free !

Re: Make Up---Do it yourself or not?

Keep in mind, makeup that looks great in the mirror will not necessarily photograph well. I was going to do mine and once my girlfriend who's familiar with professional makeup explained it to me (the diff between me doing it and a professional doing it) I was like wow, I don't want to look washed out in my photos.

Yeah, you're right, thats what Im afraid of.......I hear very good things and Ive seen for myself on posted pics of Maureen Padala trials, but I honestly, cant see myself spending $200 on make up just for me alone.....I refuse, I find it insane (IMO)---thanks for all postings.

Re: Make Up---Do it yourself or not?

I was thinking of doing my own makeup, especially b/c I don't wear that much, but everyone says to get it done b/c you don't want to stress over it the day of...
