yup I had the same problem with my FH! so frustrating. we figured it out though that he didn't like my lips, which I wasn't the biggest fan of either. I know it stinks

Yes, after one of my trials he told me that I looked like I had a rash!!!!!!! It was the foundation (it was kind of gritty). I cried, but I agree that it was not a good trial for me. Did he tell you what he didn't like about it? Did other people give you feedback?

Yes, that happened to me but with my dad.... his opinion matters a lot to me and when he said the MU applied was a cross between show girl and a corpse I was crushed! I did get over it though with time.... I am sure that when your MU and hair and gown are on it will look marvelous as with most woman we are our worst critics.

Thanks for all the advice ladies. It has been bothering me all day. Here are pictures I took of myself. He said he didn't like how long my face looked and that my eyes were dark. He couldn't pinpoint what is was that he didn't like. I normally wear everything but not as much except for lipstick. I never wear it becuase FH hates kissingme with it on. Here's pics

my mom doesnt like any of my trials so far..she is looking out for my interest so i tend to take her advice.
dont feel disheartened..its just a trial and he is being honest...

I just had my hair & make up trial with Mya this past Saturday and she did such a wonderful job. When she was doing my make up, she noticed that I have freckles on my face and said that she wouldn't cover them up because then I wouldn't look like myself. I wear make up all the time and she did it, I looked exactly how I always do when I do it myself. My mom was with me and she told me that she really liked the job Mya did with my make up and hair. She liked my make up job with Mya better than the make up job I had done for a friend's wedding that I was in.
My FH thought I was going to send him pics from my trial but I told him that I wanted him to be surprised.
Sort of. When i was done my Fi siad it looked nice but just the other day i asked him again for some reason and he was like 'well you had too much makeup on. I like you better w/o so much'. Men dont see what we see. We see the full coverage, the dramtic eyes, the shiny lips.
They want to see US!!!

I know this is what bugs me out. It is really tough to compromise on this. He wants me to wear my everyday make up which I am already bored with. I want to look the most beautiful on my wedding day and I feel with the makeup I will.

We discussed with FH, what he would like. Halfup half-down updos... not too much make-up. Although I do wear make-up every day.
We came to a happy medium. I asked for natural, warm colors for my make-up so it looks natural. FH was very happy with it.
