I had my make up trial yesterday and I loved it. When I got home and my FH saw it (who has said he doesn't want me to look different) he didn't like it at all. It broke my heart. We had a big fight over it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have read other threads like this.
Did you like it... YOU are wearing the make up and YOU need to feel comfortable.
He will get over it... He is just not used to seeing you with make up. Don't worry.

My FH thought I looked so different, because I never wear any eye makeup (except for mascara)! However, he would love me no matter how I looked... he was happy!

Oh I am sorry. I completely thought I was going to have that problem. He said 'Please try to look like yourself that day' so I decided to let him see my makeup trial with Oksana and all he could say was 'WOW' and I even had on fake lashes!!!! What colors did you use? Which artist? DO you have pics? Maybe we could giv you some ideas or something.

My FH hated my first trial. I wasn't really a fan of it either so I had another one and now I am super happy!!!!!!. Did you like your trial? Does he know how you felt about the experience. You sould speak to him bc like my FH, he may not like you in tons of makeup. You just need to explain to him that you will need a little more than everyday, bc of pics, lighting etc. HTH

MY FH does not like me with make up either, I have to keep it very natural lookingmy trial with Mia he said it looks ok so that means good cuz he hates makeup

I'm not getting make up done because of that reason. The last two weddings that I have been in my FH didn't like that I had too much make up on b/c it wasn't me (I didn't have that much, but this is coming from the girl that only wears Lip Smackers so he wasn't used to it) His aunt, who is a hair dresser and does some make up, will be doing it, very very lightly, so we'll see what happens!

Try not to worry. He will think differently when you are all dressed up in your wedding gown. It's hard to get the full effect when you are all dolled up in your regular clothing.

My FH doesn't like m/u either, but he said that he liked the way my trial looked - not for everyday, but for the day of, it would work - maybe thats what he meant?

I never wear makeup so when FH saw my makeup trial, he was shocked...I looked different. Try to explain to your FH, you must wear makeup the day of your wedding for pictures. It's a Must!!. This is what I told my FH, I was more upset then he was. They put a lot of makeup on my face and for someone who nevers wears anything, I looked like a different person. I have to tell the makeup lady the day of to lighten up.

Same here - he just wanted ME to feel happy & comfortable - as long as I'm happy that's all he cares about. He did say I looked different, though.

my FH said I looked like a CLOWN when I came home from one of the trials I THOUGHT I liked. So, THAT artist is out the window! lol
I wear very natural-looking makeup every day, so I'm going to have to keep to those color schemes... just a little more dramatic. Hopefully, third time's a charm! He's the one that's going to be looking at me, I don't want him to be thinking BO-ZO during the vows! lol

I wear makeup everyday and I STILL thought I looked completely different after my trial. I was really up in the air about it and still am.

This happened to me!! I thought I looked fabulous and I came home and my FH looked at me like I was a freak!! We argued about it....and he was there for like 3 other makeup trials, of which none he really liked.....I never wear foundation, and he just doesn't like the look of makeup on me....he wants me to do my own makeup for the wedding. I finally booked Mia for makeup, but he still wasn't crazy about it...I'm going to tell her not to use foundation on my wedding day...nobody can seem to get it right, and that's the part that my FH hates the most on me....I guess it's just all about finding a balance...good luck!

My FH said the same thing when I got back from my trial with Oksana. He couldnt take his eyes off of me.

When my FH saw my makeup trial he thought I looked different that it didn't look like me, but I loved it, I had the airbrushing with Jackie at I Make Up You, I wear make up every day to work and when you get it professionally done I feel you are going to look different. I just like the fact that I had it done in the morning and it lasted until I washed my face at 12:00 midnight!!!!!!

My FH didn't say he didn't like my trial, but just that it looked like I was wearing a lot of make-up (all I wear day to day is eye shadow and blush). I liked how it came out, and thought she used very natural colors, so I booked her. My mom liked it too, and she would be the first to tell me it was too much. I might tell her to lighten up a bit for the day of, though. I just don't have time to go to all these trials!
