OK I hate the pics but I guess you get the idea. I am saving my input for later. I want untainted advice from my very honest girls. I;m even gonna add a poll, for those of you who want to remain anonymous. I can take it!!! Let me know what you think. But no cheap shots on the before pic!!
Re: Make-up Trial...Whose ready for some bad pics!!
you know what it is? I think the colors are too cool. I bet a slightly warmer lipstick, matte beige (rather than silver/taupe) eyeshadow, warmer / softer blush, and most importantly: a light dusting of a bronzer......
well, this is what trials are for!

i agree the colors are off, thats the problem i am seeing. The eyeshadow color is not your color and the liptick is just too plain for you. You have beautiful eyes and this makeup is just not bringing them out. I think you should go for another trial where they should use more summery colors likes pinkish/goldish colors on you.

I agree...I'm not crazy for the colors. I would change the lipstick color and darken it a little and use warmer colors.

I agree... missed eye opportunity! (maybe not strong enough eye liner / mascara?)

I agree- the make up is artfully applied, but different colors would look more flattering to your skin tone

Re: Make-up Trial...Whose ready for some bad pics!!
OK I am now gonna vent!!!!! I am not happy with the make-up. And I'm not sure if I should go back for another trial or just look somewhere else? I have really sent myself into a funk because of this. My FMIL rec. this woman and offered to pay. Great right? Well, personally I can do better mak-up myself! But I don't want to, I want to be spoiled and feel like a princess and be completely pampered. And now since I waited to do this trial, another vendor I wanted to try is booked for half of the day and don't know if I can get both done! OK I feel sick now. Guess I'm joining the bad day club today.

I was also told, you shouldn't use anything shimmery because of the flash. If you think those pics are bad, you should see the other 200 I took, tryin to get just one good one.

hey ...... hope your day is going better. Just an FYI....I don't know what time your ceremony is....but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jacqueline Nicole and i'm only using her until about 11am that day. Let me know if you want her#. Also...Kacey told me you called her....i'm an idiot and forgot that obviously if I recommend my hair girl to you, she would be booked for atleast part of the day. She'll be at my house until about 1130/12ish....but right in Smithtown....so like I said, depending on the time of your church....

I heard that too but the girl who did my makeup said you want to have some sheen-she said to stay away from frosted shadows, but if you use completely matte eyeshadows, your eyes can look sunken in if the shadow is dark, or look undefined. I noticed from trial and error, that my eyes look best with a subtle touch of sheen and some nice black liner. LOL my brother said I looked like my eyes were tilted-they are almond shaped and when I use black liner and fleck it out gently, they look tilted.

Your right, I still do makeup on the side (worked for Estee Lauder/ & MAC for 7 yrs as a freelance artist) and you can definetly use some shimmers, they can look beautiful on a bride. And if you have a good photographer, then you shouldn't have to worry about the flash etc. DO not go by the flash coming off your digital, bc that lighting is completely different. It will look more shiney, but not in prof. pics.
