Anyone make/making their own invitations? If so where did you get the paper. Thanks!

Re: Make your own invites?
I was planning to make my own ... I even got a Cd with designs ... and then I realized that I could get a great price and spend almost the same than I would in making my own.
I did some looking in stores and catalogues, and I found it this website about 30% cheaper.
I made mine and they came out great. Bought Blank card invitations and Velum at Staples. Searched graphic websites for the perfect picture of a little girl in the attic trying on her mom's wedding dress. Printed the picture on the cards. Printed wording on the velum, and attached velum over card with ribbon. I got tons and tons of compliments and it cost me under $100. Plus is was fun, and the picture was my personal touch. Good luck and have fun

The blank invite cards came in a box of 50 with blank response cards also. (24.99). I personalized each response card also....

Re: Make your own invites?
I plan on making my own and also my step brother's. You can get paper at QuickPick Paper. It is on route 110 in farmindale. It is on the west side of the road just north of route 109. They charge you by the weight. It is pretty inexpensive. Also they have already made invitations, you just need to print on them. It is like paper heaven in that store. They have everything you can think of! Good Luck. FM me if you have any other questions.
woops I guess thats Pick Quick!

Re: Make your own invites?
I got my invites from Pick Quick on Rt109 and just printed them myself on my personal computer at home. They carry most of the invitations that you see in the catalogs but they come blank and you do the rest, costs under $100.
Happy Planning

I think you will like it there. I have to make a trip myself. If you make any mock invitations, I would love to see them. You can get ideas from any of the invitation sites and duplicate them yourself. Good Luck!

Re: Make your own invites?
I used http://www.custompapers.com and they were great. I got handmade paper with flower petals in it. I put them together myself and added a few touches of my own.
