Re: makeup

What is your skin type? is it dry or oily with acne?

I would start by dabing a spot concelear on your freckles or you can use that green stuff that evens out redness. Then a medium liquid foundation with a sponge and then a powder foundation, first with a pad then with a brush. Then either some bronzer on the cheeks or a highlighter all over. I wouldn't use blush. Then I use a light pink lip liner, but then gloss, no lipstick, you may be too pale for anything but pink. Then for the eyes, a light color near the bottom and darker on top. Then a brown liner (NOT the liquid type) to go over your top and bottom-lightly. Then curl your eyelashes with a culer and put some dark brown mascara over the top eyelashes, its hard to explain how I put mascara on...and thats it! HTH!!! FM me if you have any other questions!

Re: makeup

you want to buy a foundation with pink undertones - not olive. you should blend on your hand a dab of it - and the one that disappears is the one that is right for your skin tone.

if your looking for something a little lighter than foundation - try tinted moisturizer. it is very light on your skin and i like it in warm weather - its not as heavy.

i would not recommend trying to conceal your freckles. i have freckles and its a big PIA to try to cover them - besides - i like them i think they look good.

there are 1000 different ways to do your eyes - i love playing w/ eye make-up. there are day looks, night looks, dramatic, natural, depends on what you want....

Re: makeup

Actually, depending on how red you are, any pink undertones in foundation will make it stand out more. Using foundation with yellow undertones to it, will help reduce the redness.

If you want to determine you skin's undertone, have a look at your inner arm. If your veins look more blue, then you most likely have pinkish undertones. If your veins look more green, then you have more yellow or golden undertones.

But again, coloring is subjective, the best option would be to head to a counter.

Re: makeup

I also have no clue, but recently thought that maybe it's time I started to wear something on my face. I went to BB&B with my mom and bought a few things, but i'm not sure I really got what I needed to get my 'look'. So when the semester ends in May I'm heading to Macy's and consulting an expert at the makeup counter.

If you'd like maybe we could go together.

Re: makeup

Thanks for all of the replies, I think my biggest concern is my eyes, but I'll just play around with them! I just never know what colors to try. THanks!
