makeup

Since I never wore makeup a day in my life I have to find some place to do my makeup this Saturday for our engagement shoot. We'll be staying at FMIL's house in Huntington. Any suggestions for salons I can go to near there? I also want to have my hair blown out. TIA!

Check with Cactus Salon, I have had my make up done at the one in Woodbury and was pleased with the results

EDA: also check at the Walt Witman Mall. THe makeup counter ladies should be able to help you

Thanks so much! I looked up Cactus and it's literally 5 mins from FMIL's house. I made an appointment for Saturday. thanks again!

You can call the Mac or other makeup line at an anchor store in the mall and they'll do it for free. I had it done for a big 160 person b-day party a few years ago, and I bought some items (for touch ups) and they did me and my best friend, it was awesome . . .. . We called and made appts., and the girls who did us had a blast, as did we. You do not have to buy anything, but we did, because we wanted to be able to fix the makeup if we needed to all night!

I've been going to cactus for years - I'm sure you won't be dissapointed! I second the WW mall - I'm really fair so the best makeup places for me have been Trish McEvoy and Clinique (I'd recommend Saks). My sister is really dark/olive and she's loves Mac and Bobby Brown. I've also seen ppl get their make up done at Sephora too.
