Makeup Colors question

My cousin is getting married and I will be one of her bridesmaid. My sisters and I will be doing our own makeup for the wedding. I'm trying to get some ideas of what colors I should use with the dress.

I'll try to attach a picture of the dress in the color we are wearing. If that doesn't work, I'm also attaching the link to the website. Our dress color is Merlot. In the picture, it looks a little more red than it actually looks in person. It has a little more purple when you see the actual dress in front of you.

MAC has a great eyeshadow called 'Cranberry' I think it would look great with the color of your dress. Lipsticks are hard because sometimes it looks good when you match it with the dress and sometimes not. I think it depends on the individual.

If you do a gold shadow (good idea too IMO) go for a more dramatic lip color though.
