Re: makeup dilemma

I went 2 3 trials until I found one I love. The first 2, the foundation was either too light or too heavy. THe 3rd one I sent to a nearby salon. I'm not someone that wears a lot of make up. Only when I go out.She gave me a natural look.

Here's a pic

I think you should go for a trial. You want the makeup artist to enhance your features with the makeup that is being applied not look different. Your makeup shows in your picture and your pictures are the memories of a lifetime so I will definitely look into it if I were you. Also, they can always apply your makeup and give you a natural look even though I think if they add just a little bit more, they can still create a beautiful, natural you.
I will go and not tell your FH and then show him after it's being done. I bet you he will change his mind. Also, the less stresses you have for your day, the better.
Good Luck !!

You should go for a trial--I don't wear alot of makeup either. The problem is that you need to put on makeup and it is going to be more than you normally wear because you will looked washed out in pictures. Just bring a picture with you of what you normally look like when you put on makeup. Good luck!

I am the same way, but honestly I think its a good idea to at least go for a trail, remember that day you are going to be photographed like a celebrity. and looking at my pics I am glad I had my make up done more than ususal because it made my features stand out more in the pics!
Its up to you what you want to do but I say go for the trial and tell him that if he feels its too unnatural after seeing it, then you can re-evaluate whether you will get it done for the wedding! Afterall right now its just a trial!

Re: makeup dilemma

Use this brand

you can get it at the store in Roosevelt Field Mall or at any Ulta Cosmetics/Salon, they are so natural it doesn't look like you are wearing anything at all yet gives you that polished look i am sure you are after for your wedding day.

Also just to let all of you ladies know at Ulta you can get a makeover for free or if you go to the Studio Gear Rep at Ulta it is a minimum purchase of $35 which is awesome as well.

Starting March 12 we will be carrying a new line of cosmetics called Lola (Lust often, Love Always) it is a great line that I went to classes for yesterday, again beautiful and very natural.

No I do not own Ulta, I am just in Mgmt while finishing my Education degree and I love cosmetics so I thought I'd share the info!

Good luck.

Re: makeup dilemma

I never wear foundation - the extent of cover up that I use is concealer for under my eyes - so i was worried about not looking like myself on my wedding - I used Maureen Pedala - and she was awesome! She does air brushing and used very little foundation - definitely looked like me and lasted all night.

yes the Studio Gear rep will do it, in fact she did one last weekend~ You can also make an appointment for hair at the salon in the store, the girls came in got their hair done and then went out to the store and got the makeup done!

WHich do you live near?
