Re: Makeup trial
I tipped 15 dollars, I didn't really intend to tip but she was amazing and really took her time.

No. I didn't tip. I didn't think about it because I thought the trial was expensive already. I think $60 or $65? Something like that. Now I'm not sure if I should have or not given maybe an extra $5 or something like that. I still think my trial was a lot though so I don't feel too bad.

Yes I did...the trial was $45, and I left a $50 deposit because I booked her..I think I gave her a $10 or $15 tip..

Re: Makeup trial
Technically a tip for beauty services is 20% of the cost but if you were planning on not tipping, I would say to give at least $5 but if they came to your house, then I would say 20% definitely.

Re: Makeup trial
My aunt is an esthetician/make up artist, I asked her the same thing for a trial I had. She said that if you really like her work and plan on using her you should give her a little something so that she knows you liked her and takes care of her.
If she does not do the job you asked or you never plan on using her, you don't have to give as much or nothing at all depening on how bad it was.
