Hey ladies...how far in advance from your wedding are you doing your makeup trial?

One of the girls on here suggested doing it a year before so it'll be the same weather/humidity level, especially for summer brides and I thought it was such a good idea. I'll probably be doing mine in August. On the other side of the coin though, I think a lot of MUAs suggest a few months before because you could change your mind about what you want.

I'm doing mine on April 17 so a little over a year out. I'm going to a wedding that day so I figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I don't want to wait too long to book my MUA because that's super important & I don't want the person I want to be booked for my date. I'll probably do a 2nd trial the day of my bridal shower

Thanks girls...I wanted to have my makeup done for engagement shoot also...she said $150. Do you think I could ask her to do the trial that day instead to get the price down? Or do you think 150 is average for engagement shoot makeup?

I did my trial on the day I had my engagement shoot and it only cost $50 (that's her typical trial rate). We arranged it to be on same day I had the photographer booked. The make-up came out wonderful. I would ask for a trial.
