Makeup Trial......Tipping

I am getting a makeup trial done at the MAC counter in Bloomingdales and was wondering if I have to tip the girl who is doing my makeup? The trial is free but they suggest that I buy at least $50 worth of makeup so in reality the trial is not free. Thanks for any advice.

I'm wondering the same question myself - but in your case, I would buy something and not tip - she'll get a commission on whatever you buy, so I think that's enough for a trial.

I have someone coming over my house and charging me $50 for the trial - I don't think I'm going to tip on top of the fee....plus she only lives 10 mins away from me.

I wouldnt tip unless you really love it and plan on using them for your day.
you have to spend $50 and they make commission from that

I went for my trial at Bobbi Brown at Neiman Marcus and they didn't require that I bought any of their makeup and when I went to give the girl a tip she wouldn't take it. I plan on going to Clinique also and they don't require you to buy anything either. You should check into it again.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I also have a makeup trial on tuesday and she is charging me $50, which I think is a little expensive. I guess she is not getting a tip either! I can't believe how much money you spend on trials - hopefully I'll find somebody soon.
