makeup trials

Hello everyone,
Has anyone used Elena for their wedding? I have a trial with her soon and would really appreciate any feedback on how she does hair and makeup. Thanks

Re: makeup trials

check into past posts, she was a very 'hot' topic at one point.
Continued success to all...

Re: makeup trials

I didn't have a trial with Elena, but my best friend is getting married 5/25 and is using someone named Denise and she loved her. Just some FYI!!

I had a trial a few months ago. She is really sweet and I was satisfied with the results (overall) after the trial was over so I booked her.

But recent negative postings have had me concerned so I will probably go back for another one in the summer.

I didn't love the foundation she uses so you may want to bring your own.

I had a trial with Elena a few months back. She is very, very nice and really listens to what you want. But you have to speak up and explain it to her. She doesn't read minds. I felt the makeup was a bit too heavy but nice.
I am using Kristen from Enchante- she is my regular hairdresser.

Re: when should you start looking for this

I used her for my 2000 wedding and had a great experience with her.
I don't wear makeup and she did a nice job. People still comment on it! It was obviously more than what I was accustomed to, but I looked like me, only better. The hair looked nice too, although I ended up wearing my veil the whole reception.

I agree with the posting that you have to tell her what you want. If you have pictures, bring them. And again, speak up. You're paying for a service, so if you're not comfortabel say so. She is very nice and will not mind. It's your day, you should look how you feel comfortable.

As for posts about her clothing. She looked fine at my wedding. In fact, she was better dressed than most of my guests.

Good luck.
