Makeup trials

Sorry to be flooding the forum today! I am just very new at this, and have lots of questions! How much do makeup trials typically run, and how much is fair (in your opinions) to pay for the actual service? Do people usually book the same person to do hair and makeup, or separate vendors?

Some artists do makeup trials for free and i've heard of up to $85. There could be higher. Personally, I won't be doing a trial since I can't afford it but if you do that, you just have to make sure the person has a phenomenal reputation and will do a good job. I'm not worried
